The Wii U is a console created by Nintendo and was released on November 18, 2012 in North America, November 30, 2012 in Europe, and December 8, 2012 in Japan.
It is the first Nintendo system to feature HD graphics. It also features extended display options with the introduction of a tablet-like controller with a second screen, similar to the Nintendo DS, but using the TV as the main screen instead.
