Alien Hominid is a run and gun indie game based on the Newgrounds Flash game of the same name developed by The Behemoth with ports for the Game Boy Advance and mobile devices developed by Tuna Technologies. The console and Game Boy Advance versions were published by O3 Entertainment in North America and Zoo Digital Publishing in Europe. It was released for the PlayStation 2 on November 21, 2004 in North America and on May 27, 2005 in Europe, the GameCube on November 23, 2004 in North America, J2ME on May 23, 2005 in Europe, Xbox on May 27, 2005 in Europe and June 23, 2005 in Australasia, and the Game Boy Advance on February 3, 2006 in Europe and February 9, 2006 in Australasia. A port for the Gizmondo was planned, but canceled.

It is notable for being one of the first indie games to be published on major consoles.

It later received an HD version titled Alien Hominid HD (retroactively known as Alien Hominid 360) for the Xbox 360, and a remaster with the same name for Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

This page covers the console versions. For the Game Boy Advance version, see Alien Hominid (Game Boy Advance).
