Pizza Tower is an action-platformer indie game that was developed and published by Tour De Pizza. It was released for Windows on January 26, 2023. It was later released about a year later for the Nintendo Switch on August 27, 2024, with a physical version for the latter being published by Fangamer more than a year later on October 10, 2025.
Before the full game released, there were public and Patreon-only demos that were periodically released during Pizza Tower's development from 2018 to 2022. There were also several pre-release builds that were released on Steam for playtesters from 2022 to 2023. A list of these builds can be found on this page on the Pizza Tower Wiki.
Engine
Pizza Tower uses GameMaker. The final game and its updates use version 2022.9, specifically. The engine version does vary between both public and Patreon demos and other early builds.
The game also uses Wwise for its sounds and music. When The Language Update was released on August 27th, 2024, some of its graphics related to said update are just regular .png files.
