The Atari ST is a 16-bit personal computer family by Atari, famous for its MIDI support and many games. Was fairly popular early in its life due to the lower cost however the Amiga quickly over took its popularity. Many early Amiga games were ST ports due to the same processor.

Ripping Tools

Maptapper

Maptapper is a Windows application used to rip graphics and maps from Amiga games. It can also read Atari ST games and has rudimentary support for Commodore 64 games as well. Both the official website and the built-in help file have a basic tutorial on how to rip sprites.

The WIP version that supports Steem savestates and palettes sadly was unreleased so recolouring is required. Reading from .st files is hit and miss.

FloImg

Floppy Image is a Windows application. This can extract raw .pic, .pc1 files from .st and scene .msa files, these can be viewed via RECOIL.
