Tatung Einstein was a computer made by Tatung in 1984, only available in the UK and Taiwan. It was often used to program ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Amstrad CPC games with due to its reliability however commercially it was too expensive and was unsuccessful. There was also an upgraded model called the Tatung Einstein 256 that is rare and technically resembles a MSX computer, both in looks and supports the video mode from the computer.

Despite that the computer was used to make games with, there were a few games made for the computer and many of the popular UK games were on the machine such as Jet Set Willy and Elite. Unusually Konami also ported four of their MSX games to the Einstein.
